The Live Achrafieh Festival is waiting for you on Saturday!

For the third year in a row, the Live Ashrafieh Festival will take place on Saturday, June 23, in Sassine square, with lots of fun activities and surprises, along with a special appearance of Lebanese star Najwa Karam.

With more than 10 000 visitors last year, the Live achrafieh Festival has become a key event of the summer. The third edition of this Music and Street festival will take place on Saturday. It will kick off at 5:30 with kids activities and games on the streets. Later at night, people will enjoy a performance by the Lebanese singer star Najwa Karam, along with other artists.

At a press conference held at his office in Achrafieh on Wednesday, MP Michel Pharaon, along with MPs Nadim Gemmayel and Mr. Serge Tor Sarkissian announced the program of the event. Beirut Municipality's Vice President Nadim Abou Rizk attended the conference as well.

"It’s been three years since the first edition of Live Achrafieh, and this year, despite all the political instability and the death of Mr. Ghassan Tueni, we will organize the festival with even more courage enthusiasm and excitement,” Mr. Michel Pharaon stated. He also thanked the Red Cross, the Lebanese army and the Lebanese Civil Defense for their contribution to the event.

Mr. Nadim Gemmayel noted that “we all know that Lebanon's tourism is hit by the situation. And we are living a political crisis. However, we want to make this event happen, to bring joy not only for the residents of Ashrafieh but to all the Lebanese, since they're all invited”.

Afterwards, a word was addressed from the Armenian Deputy Serge Tor Sarkissian, who stressed the importance of the Lebanese army.
When asked about the special aspects of this year’s program, the hosts of the conference responded that there will be lots of fun activities and many surprises, stressing on the fact that the event is free of charge.
